In these pictures, you can see the difference between the two. The top dressed turf is the greener, lush looking grass, and the yellow grass is before top dressing was applied. Top dressing is a great and easy way to make turf turn to the perfect shade of green, while also providing benefits to the grass and it’s roots. Top dressing also helps reverse many other common grass problems, and can easily revitalize your grass for you. You might be wondering why top dressing with compost can be so beneficial for grass and turf overall, so here are some facts about top dressing and pictures to show you the difference top dressing makes.
Top dressing can help bring back many lawns to their former greatness. If you have previously neglected, or used chemical products on a lawn, top dressing can help bring back the key nutrients for lawns and helps ensure much healthier grass. It also can help whenever there are many bare spots in your lawn where grass has a hard time growing simply by providing more nutrients in those areas. You can also use top dressing to fix uneven areas and any other low spots that might appear in your lawn.
