Organic Mosquito and Tick Control

Organic Pest Control - Cedar Oil

Providing a safe environment for children is and always has been one of Lincoln Landscaping’s Core Values that we strive to achieve. With regards to the grounds at Jefferson Township Middle Schools, we implemented a spraying of Cedar Oil to knock back the mosquitos and tick population.

What Is Cedar Oil Anyway?

Cedar oil is an essential oil with many uses that comes from conifer trees of the cypress or pine families. Cedar oil is most commonly used in aromatherapy and also in pest control. Cedar oil has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties and is considered safe enough by the Food & Drug Administration to be used as a preservative for foods. Ancient Egyptians even used it in their embalming practices,  because of how good it was at keeping away insects.
