N.O.F.A. Organic Land Care Certification

I am very pleased and proud to announce the certification of my son, Kris Kolenut, as a Northeast Organic Farming Association certified Organic Land Care Professional. The limited few who complete and pass these courses and regimen are eligible to become NOFA Accredited Organic Land Care Professionals (AOLCPs) and pledge to practice according to the NOFA Standards for Organic Land Care for those clients who ask for organic. Approximately 500 professionals from 18 states are accredited by NOFA.
Growing public awareness of pesticide use hazards and new legislation mandating least toxic and non-toxic alternatives are fueling a new market opportunity for professionals with knowledge of organic lawn, gardens and landscape care. Â This program allows clients to identify trained professionals who can help them to manage their land organically.
Seeing the “fruits of my offspring” grasping and understanding the concepts of “green and environmentally friendly living practices” gives to me an inner sense of elation beyond belief….
