Battery Powered Landscaping Equipment

Sustainable Land Care Practices

Receiving a call from the beautiful town of Millburn, New Jersey, i was asked to speak with the Mayor and Township Committee about a proposal to limit 2 cycle gas powered backpacks, from June through September. The 2 cycle backpack is so polluting, and emits destructive noise pollution, and is harmful with regards tp employee safety and the environment as a whole. A back pack running for one hour emits more pollutants than a Ford Raptor pickup truck driving from Alabama to Alaska. With no restrictions on spring and fall clean ups, the local landscape community, should embrace this technology.

We are here to minimize these destructive and harmful aspects to our community, residents, and clients. This three minute presentation to discuss this common sense approach, hopefully provided some education. I hope the town does the next right thing by restricting summer backpack use.

A few years ago at Uncommon schools, Lincoln Landscaping, Quiet Communities, Azga and other landscape companies interested in improving the environment spent the afternoon discussing strategies going forward to eliminate gas burning lawn mowers, backpacks, weed whackers and chainsaws from our commercial fleets.

With corporations moving toward sustainability, landscape contractors are taking steps toward electric equipment to promote sustainability and better serve their clients. At Lincoln Landscaping we are committed to doing whatever we can to reduce our carbon footprint.

Sustainable Landscaping with Electric Equipment - Lincoln Landscaping

As a 100% Organic Land Care Company, we practice what we preach. We purchased electric lawnmowers and backpack blowers 4 years ago and this season continue to build our electric equipment inventory; this coincides with the mission statement of Lincoln Landscaping Inc. of Franklin Lakes.

FOR EARTH DAY | ARBOR DAY

We have both earth day and arbor day holidays because they started in quite different ways for causes that were important in their time, almost a century apart.

We have both holidays because they started in quite different ways for causes that were important in their time, almost a century apart. Today, their causes are as crucial as ever, and they have both come to emphasize the end goal of improving our planet. While each holiday began under different circumstances, they have always been simpatico at their core. Take some time on these days to become more aware of your surroundings and find a way that you can positively impact the world around you.
