Helenium flexuosum Raf – Purple Headed Sneezewood

The flowerheads of purple headed sneezewood offer nectar and pollen as floral rewards to a wide range of insect visitors, including long-tongued bees, short-tongued bees, wasps, flies, butterflies, and skippers. Various insects feed on the leaves, pith of the stems, and other parts of Helenium spp. (Sneezeweeds).

Chatham Township Organic Transition

Chatham Township announced that in an effort to reduce the use of pesticides and artificial fertilizers in Chatham Township it has contracted with Lincoln Landscaping, a Northeast Organic Farming Association registered organic company, to provide organic lawn management of its recreational fields (Shunpike, Nash, Esternay, and Mountainview) and The Colony Pool Club.

Chatham Boro

Lincoln Landscaping of Franklin Lakes is pleased and honored to be able to share the following announcement by Chatham Township regarding the transition to a 100% organic property management program. Chatham Township is planning on using organic lawn care on its recreational fields and at the Colony Pool Club this summer, Mayor Curt Ritter announced on Tuesday.
